Kids Go-To Smoothie

Every morning for the past 3-years I’ve started my day by blending up this nutrient-dense smoothie for the kids. Before they even eat breakfast they kick the day off with a dose of protein and fat, preparing their brains and bodies for the day ahead. It’s important to me that they get a good source of protein, fat, and fiber in each meal or drink, and this smoothie hits all three. And what’s sweeter is that all three of them love it!  

1 cup frozen strawberries 

½ cup unsweetened almond milk 

½ cup coconut water 

1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder 

2 tbsp sliced almonds

2 tbsp shredded unsweetened coconut 

½ banana 

1 tbsp chia seeds 

Splash orange juice 

Dash cinnamon 

Instructions 

Blend, divide and enjoy! 

Makes 3 small servings
