Golden French fries potatoes ready to be eaten.

Is it possible for a french fry to be healthy and delicious? Yes and yes. Never again will you have to rely on nutrient-depleted store-bought fries. This simple and satisfying recipe is the answer to all of your french fry cravings.

2 russet potatoes

1 tablespoon melted coconut oil

¼ tsp paprika

½ tsp salt

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F. Wash and peel potatoes. Slice into thin, ¼’ strips. Soak in cold water with half of the salt for at least 30-minutes.
  2. Drain potatoes and pat dry with a paper towel. Then, coat with melted oil and toss with paprika, garlic, and salt.
  3. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet, making sure they are not touching each other, and bake for 20-minutes in the lower ⅓ of the oven.
  4. After 20-minutes, flip the fries and increase the temperature to 450 and bake for an additional 15-minutes or until desired crispiness.
